Terinspirasi untuk memberi nama font ini dengan nama TOMPOK sempena nama anjing yang menjadi kesayangan yang asalnya disantuni oleh cikgu Din Besut di Pantai Tompok (Pantai Tukau) di Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia. Kecaknaan pada Tompok kemudian diteruskan oleh Kak Ita, Abang Lan dan juga semua warga Pantai Tompok setelah cikgu Din Besut kembali mengajar di semenanjung. Kerana seekor anjing yang bernama Tompok, ramai insan yang berbeza kaum, agama dan latar belakang menjadi satu dan menjadi keluarga yang besar dan harmoni. Semoga persahabatan berterusan. InsyaAllah
