Extended information

This font was originally generated by the Texas Instruments TIFAX teletext decoder as used in the very first teletext tv sets. The character generator ROM was the 74S262 chip, which was also used for the Research Machines 380Z microcomputer.
The font has been smoothed to look good in almost all sizes but looks best at around 20pt. Certain characters are different to the normal ascii: Backslash produces a "half" symbol, Hash produces a pound sign and the underscore produces a hash amongst others.
The font has been updated to include some foreign language symbols and the strange glyphs from the original ROM are also included
