Extended information
Libra Sans, created by Context Ltd., is based on Liberation Sans, which on its turn is based on Arimo, designed by Steve Matteson as an innovative, refreshing sans serif design that is metrically compatible with Arial. Arimo offers improved on-screen readability characteristics and the pan-European WGL character set and solves the needs of developers looking for width-compatible fonts to address document portability across platforms. The new moment in Libra Sans is that it includes as local features in Open Type the so-called "Bulgarian" letterform model, which has been proposed by a group of Bulgarian designers in the 1960s. Liberation Sans is a free-to-use non-commercial font released under the SIL Open Font License (OFL). Libra Sans is a free-to-use non-commercial font derivated from Liberation Sans by Stefan Peev (Context Ltd. / www.contextbg.net) and released under the SIL Open Font License (OFL).
