Extended information
Letrix is a hyper-experimental family, a different kind of variable font. Taking ornamentation to the main stage, Letrix needs large sizes to show its details. A Processing-coded software draws its glyphs using modular dingbats (internal/external sides and corners) designed by the coders. The letters are crafted on Illustrator and Glyphs for optimization, type adjustments, and exporting. All fonts have the same structure with different finishes. Bold, condensed, or italic variants are thrown away for the dingbat drawing defines the spirit of the font. This is the first of 20 styles, a small sample of the potential outcomes. With over 500 pieces, the dingbat set is constantly growing, expanding the mixing possibilities. Sometimes vigorous, sometimes ethereal, Letrix is an invitation to the fun.
