The StereoTypo font is a PenguinCube initiative that first began in 2005 to the backdrop of a bomb-decorated Beirut and inspired by the terror-monger, post 9/11, Arab image.
It is above all, a tool for social commentary. With a collection of symbols and icons representing stereotypes commonly associated with Middle Eastern people, places and actions, StereoTypo is a font that aims to not only identify these common stereotypes but also to give the user a tool through which they can create their own statements either through composition or intervention. For this reason it is available as a completely free for use font.

==INSTALLING STEREOTYPO==
If you use a font management utility, such as fontbook or suitcase, you may install StereoTypo by following its standard procedures.
If you do not use a font management utility you may install stereotypo by following the directions below.
1) Before installing StereoTypo, you should close any open applications. For some applications, new fonts do not appear in the font menu if you install them while the application is open.
2) In the Finder, open the folder that contains the StereoTypo font file you have downloaded.
3) Select the fontfile, StereoTypo.
4) Drag and drop StereoTypo into the Fonts folder in the Library folder.

After installing fonts, you may need to restart an application or reselect the printer in the application to make the fonts appear in the font list.
1) Choose Start > Settings > Control Panel
NOTE: In Windows XP, choose Start > Control Panel
2) Double-click the Fonts folder.
3) Choose File > Install New Font.
4) Locate StereoTypo.
▪ In the Drives list, select the drive and the folder containing StereoTypo.
▪ In the Folders list, select the folder that contains StereoTypo. (Make sure you have unzipped them first.) The fonts in the folder appear under List of Fonts.
5) Select StereoTypo.
6) Click OK to install StereoTypo.
